Wednesday
The clouds will prevail and it will rain or snow at times. The snow line is around 800m above sea level. In the afternoon, the showers will become less frequent and in the evening the sun may peek out in places. The westerly wind will be moderate to brisk. The highest temperatures are between 4 and 10 degrees. At an altitude of 1500m it is around minus 3 degrees at noon.
Thursday
Changeable. With a brisk westerly wind, clouds and sun will alternate, and there will also be a few rain and snow showers. The snow line is around 900m high, in the morning also lower. The morning hours are cold, frosty in places. By the afternoon, temperatures will rise to 5 to 11 degrees, at an altitude of 1500m to minus 1 degree.

On Friday mostly sunny. At times, however, there are also denser clouds. In the morning hours, frost must be expected, even at low altitudes, and by the afternoon temperatures will rise to 10 to 16 degrees. Little wind.
On Saturday several hours of sunshine, foehn in the Alps and only occasional clouds. Highs: 14 to 21 degrees. In the morning, however, it is fresh, sometimes even frosty.

I'm coming to Hallstatt in February – what will the weather be like? Our editorial department receives these and other questions regarding the weather, on a daily basis. For this reason we have compiled some information for you below: Between June and early September is midsummer in the region. We recommend light and airy clothes, bathing suits and of course an umbrella. Because without rain, it is not a summer. In the months of September to the end of November it is Autumn in the Salzkammergut. Warm clothing is required; non-slip footwear and the obligatory umbrella should be in your luggage. Between the beginning of December and the beginning of March winter has its say. Warm jackets and shoes are now in demand, because in these months, the thermometer can sometimes fall to minus 10 degrees Celsius.
