Flohwiesen Cross Country Trail in Bad Goisern
This easy country ski trail
makes for a wonderful day out!
The start of the trail is the „Flohwiese“ car park. This is a 3 km drive from St Agatha, and the car park is situated approx. 500 m after the turning for the Halleralm. In summer this is also the start of the „Tolerance Trail“ – an interesting theme trail for those wishing to learn more about the history of Evangelism in the area.
This easy trail is perfectly suited to skaters and diagonal skiers, and is the perfect way to explore the ”Flohwiese“ wintery moorland. Enjoy breath-taking views across the Dachstein Salzkammergut World Heritage Region under its winter cloak.
A particular highlight is the „Beriga Golden Gate Bridge“. This hanging bridge is 35 m long and 6 m wide and crosses so-named „Schwarzenbachlochzwang“. The bridge is suitable for crossing with cross country skis. After a gentle ascent through the woods you will reach the turning for the Kriemoos Round.
