At the southernmost point of Austria, in Gosau, embedded in the Inner Salzkammergut, the third COOEE alpin Hotel will open! The beauty of the Salzkammergut is no secret and the imposing Gosaukamm mountain range at the end of the valley is a special sight which impresses every visitor. In summer as well as in winter, Gosau offers its guests and huge range of attractions and activities.
As many hiking and climbing enthusiasts already know, the Gosaukamm is a place that offers many routes of differing degrees of difficulty. The surrounding mountain meadows and peaks are also treasured by hiking lovers. One highlight is the highland moor, a moor lake, surrounded by mountain grasses and perfect for hiking. One of the most important parts of the program, the Gosau lake, offers possibly the most famous photo point in our region with the majestic Dachstein glacier perched behind it.
In winter you will also get your money's worth. The largest skiing region in Upper Austria, Dachstein West, covers the three towns of Gosau, Russbach and Annaberg and includes the Hornspitz - Brumsiland and the Zwieselalm. On the 142 km of prepared pistes there is something for both beginners and experienced sportspeople. Those that do not want to ski can enjoy sledging, cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, curling and ski touring.
