The Gosauschmied Inn enjoys a central location in Hintertal in Gosau, 500 m from the Dachstein West Ski Area. It features a restaurant with a large terrace serving regional and international cuisine. The simply furnished rooms come with a private bathroom and a TV. You can find a tennis court as well as a children’s playground on site. Guests can start the day with a rich breakfast at the Gosauschmied.
The free ski bus stop is directly in front of the guest house. Rock climbing is possible at the Schmiedsteig 500 m away. Cross country trails can be accessed directly in front of the house. Couples in particular like the location – they rated it 8 for a two-person trip.
Our inn is situated in the heart of the stunning landscape of the Salzkammergut, with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Close enough so that you can take advantage of all the facilities that Gosau has to offer, and far enough away that you can experience nature in a way that you will never forget. Besides our personal care and excellent cuisine, our guests benefit from the many experiences Gosau and the rest of the Dachstein Region have to offer. This ranges from hiking and mountain biking in the summer through to down-hill and cross-country skiing in winter.
Our bedrooms offer all modern comforts, and from the balcony you can enjoy the magnificent views. We have a sunny conservatory where you can relax in the winter months, and the homely „Zirbenstube“ is always cosy and welcoming.

Cancellation
- In the case of a cancellation we refer to the general rules of the Hotel contract laws:
- up to 3 months before arrival cancellation is free
- 3-1 months 40% of the total price to be paid
- 1 month - 1 week 70% of the price to be paid
- in the last week before arrival we ask for 90% of the price
- by an early departure or no-show 100% of the price must be paid
- We recommend that you arrange cancellation/travel insurance alongside your booking

- We kindly ask for a deposit of 30% per booking
- Including in the price is the free use of the sauna, infra-red cabin, Wifi, parking
- For a small fee the hot tub, solarium, fragrance steam room
