Difficult tour for experienced mountaineers

A very beautiful, but not quite unsafe way, which requires high-alpine equipment, vertigo freedom and a good stamina.

Starting from the "Adamekhütte", the way leads over glacier ground joints and moraines to the opposite side of the glacier. In the beginning, the way leads towards the valley, then on the rock ramp, and finally upwards again. It crosses below the "Eiskarlspitz" and the "Hochkesselkopf", in which safety ropes are provided throughout this part of the way. You follow the trail up to the "Reißgangsattel" and through the very steep "Reißgangschlucht", which can be coverd with snow in summer. After passing this black spot. you've covered about 5 hours. The final hour of the track, to the "Hofpurgelhütte" is quite relaxing

Accessibility/arrival: The way "Linzerweg" starts at the hut Adamek. You can leave your car at the parking area at the lake Gosau.
